कव्योदय

आज मेरे अन्दर एक कवि जागा है,
भीतर से काला साया निकल भागा है।
नई सुबह की चहचहाहट सुन रहा हूँ,
सपनों की विशालतम चादर बुन रहा हूँ॥

परन्तु शब्दों से भीगी इस बरिश में महत्वपूर्ण सवाल खड़ा है,
उजाला तो केवल भीतर है, बाहर तमस विक्राल जड़ा है।
शब्द निरर्थक प्रतीत होते हैं, अतः कर्म पथ जाऊँगा,
क्षमा-प्रार्थना प्रीयतम,
अपनी छोटी सी इस काव्या-रचना को आगे ना बढ़ा पाऊँगा॥

हिम्मत करने वालों की हार नहीं होती...

लहरों से डर कर नौका पार नही होती
हिम्मत करने वालों की हार नहीं होती॥

नन्ही चींटी जब दाना लेकर चलती है,
चढ़ती दीवरों पर सौ बार फिसलती है।
मन का विश्वास रगों में साहस बनता है,
चढ़ कर गिरना, गिर कर चढ़ना ना अखरता है।
आखिर उसकी मेहनत बेकार नहीं होती,
कोशिश करने वालों की हार नहीं होती॥

डुबकियाँ सिँधु में गोता-खोर लगता है,
जा-जा कर खाली हाथ लौट आता है।
मिलते ना सहज ही मोती पानी में,
बहता दूना उत्साह इसी हैरानी में।
मुठ्ठी उसकी खाली हर बार नहीं होती,
हिम्मत करने वालों की हार नहीं होती॥

असफलता एक चुनौती है, स्वीकार करो,
क्या कमी रह गयी, देखो और सुधार करो।
जब तक ना सफल हो, नींद चैन की त्यागो तुम,
संघर्षों का मैदान छोड़ मत भागो तुम।
कुछ किये बिना ही जय-जयकार नहीं होती,
हिम्मत करने वालों की हार नहीं होती॥

This poem has shot back into light due to the movie - Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara. This poem is the favorite poem of the character Uttam Singh (Anupam Kher) in this great flick. Incidently the movie hosts one of the greatest monologues in Indian Movies - watch the movie to see the court room monologue by Anupam Kher towards the end of the movie. It also earns a 8.4/10 rating, unusually high for Hindi Movies on IMDB.
